Restaurant billing software in Kilpauk.

A seated guest can also order food to take home. For a Kilpauk restaurant demo, keep the billed quantity, plated quantity and packed quantity clear when the same dish has two destinations. Then change only the parcel quantity and check the final handoff.

One guest order, with meals for the table and meals to take home

Chennai Metro Rail lists Kilpauk Medical College and EGA Theatre among the landmarks associated with Kilpauk station approaches. Our original artwork takes its cinema motif from EGA Theatre; it is a symbolic neighbourhood illustration, not an exact building drawing or route map. These landmarks help identify the area, but do not indicate a customer relationship. Send your restaurant’s full street address, entrance and meeting point when arranging a visit with the DeccanPro Chennai team.

Local reference: Chennai Metro Rail: Kilpauk station and nearby landmarks. Use the restaurant exercises below with your own menu.

Start with four meals and two destinations

Use a fictional training order for two guests: two meals to eat at the table and two meals to take home. At a sample meal price of Rs.120, the item subtotal is Rs.480. The kitchen needs to understand four meals in total, with two plated and two packed. Tell everyone this is a demonstration and that no food should be prepared. Use the order-entry and kitchen-note procedure supported by your installation; do not assume that a single bill automatically gives each item a different service destination.

Agree how the kitchen sees the distinction

Ask the captain to explain the request, then have a second operator find it from the saved order and written kitchen record. Check whether the supported notes, ticket layout or agreed manual instruction makes the two destinations clear. A spoken request should not be the only place the parcel instruction exists. If the demonstrated software workflow requires separate records, have the supplier explain how quantities and the final charge will be checked without entering the same meals twice. This exercise does not promise mixed-service line routing or automatic bill merging.

Add one parcel meal without changing the table meals

Before preparation, the guest asks for one more takeaway meal. The intended result is now five meals: two for the table and three for packing, with a sample subtotal of Rs.600. Use the supported correction or addition procedure and retain the relevant reference. Have the kitchen operator identify the one additional parcel meal. The original two plated meals must not become three, and the original four-meal instruction must not be prepared again as a fresh order. Check the actual updated record together before moving on.

Add coffee and reconcile the final bill

The seated guests also order two coffees at Rs.25 each. The final sample items are five meals at Rs.120 and two coffees at Rs.25: Rs.650 before any applicable tax, discount or separately agreed charge. Compare this with the kitchen destinations: two plated meals, three packed meals and two coffees served to the table. Seven total item units do not mean seven parcels, and a Rs.650 bill alone does not establish that the right food was packed. Use your own menu prices when repeating the exercise.

Finish table service and parcel collection separately

Have one colleague act as the guest leaving the table. Match the saved reference to the three packed meals, confirm payment through the restaurant’s usual process and confirm that the parcels were actually collected. Serving the coffees is not proof that the takeaway portion left the counter. If the parcel is not ready, tell the guest and assign one staff member to complete the handoff. Record any unresolved preparation or payment issue in the supported workflow or the agreed shift record; no automatic collection-status feature is assumed.

Bring the right people to a Kilpauk demonstration

Bring a captain, cashier and kitchen or packing operator, along with an anonymised menu and a sketch of the route from table to collection point. Include your current practice for packaging charges and any menu items sold differently for dine-in and takeaway, so the demonstrator can show the actual setup rather than assuming identical pricing. Keep the sample order references and note which step needed explanation. DeccanPro visits customer restaurants by arrangement; this page does not claim a branch, installation or walk-in demo at the cinema or medical college.

Prepare your Kilpauk demo

  • Initial four meals: two plated and two packed
  • Revised five meals: two plated and three packed
  • Kitchen identifies only one additional parcel meal
  • Two coffees stay with the seated guests
  • Sample final items total Rs.650 before other adjustments
  • Written kitchen record explains both destinations
  • Payment and parcel collection confirmed separately
